I was admitted as a solicitor in 1988.
I am an experienced commercial and trial lawyer who specialises in commercial litigation, international arbitration, public international law, sports law and employment law.
I have been actively engaged in commercial law and dispute resolution for more than 20 years. This encompasses business and commercial disputes, employment litigation, construction litigation, professional negligence litigation and international arbitrations.
I have worked in the Far East, Europe, Africa and the United States of America in relation to major international disputes and have represented foreign governments, multinational corporations and private clients. I have acted in respect of numerous disputes before the High Court of England and Wales, The Court of Arbitration for Sport, ICSID and the ICC. I frequently advise clients on the Liechtenstein Disclosure Facility.
I have worked on disputes in Ethiopia, Sudan, Nigeria, Turks & Caicos, Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, Poland and South Africa. I have worked extensively with the World Bank Group in Washington DC in respect of international mediations and arbitrations.
I was a visiting Lecturer at the London School of Economics and a visiting Professor of Law at Pepperdine University in California.
