I am a law graduate of the London School of Economics. I was admitted as a solicitor in 1975 in England & Wales. I have also been admitted in Ireland.
I have been a Council Member of the Law Society of England & Wales since 2005, representing the City of Westminster. I currently serve on the Law Society’s Membership Board.
I am a trustee of the Access to Justice Foundation and I am an elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA).
I have many international legal connections and I am a quondam Member of the Council of the Commonwealth Lawyers Association, an Associate Member of the American Bar Association and a Member of ABA’s International Section. I am also a member of the Society of English & American Lawyers and the British Italian Legal Association.
I have a particular interest in corporate social responsibility issues and pro bono activity and in 2005 I was the first recipient of the Solicitors Pro Bono Group (now LawWorks) Award for an individual.
I speak French and I am currently working on improving my Spanish.
I have considerable general legal experience, including property law, employment matters, matrimonial disputes and general litigation. I believe in taking a practical approach to the resolution of any legal issues.
