Keith F Baker – Consultant

I am bi-lingual French-English. Having the ability to be assertive in a foreign language is an invaluable asset.

I have a degree in law from the University of London and I am qualified as an English Solicitor (practising). My training included one year working in the office of France’s largest notarial practice, giving me an exceptional comparative insight into the practical working of the leading civil law country.

I have more than 30 years’ experience in cross-border transactions, especially property and inheritance.

I am a former Notary Public.

I am a past Chair of the Private Client and Individual Taxation Committee of the International Bar Association (“IBA”) where I continue to serve on investment management and human rights activities. In 2011 I was made an honorary life member of the IBA and of its governing Council.

I was recently elected to the College of Fellows of the Notarial Federation of Property Professionals for my services to the overseas property industry.

I have written numerous articles for publication in IBA publications and co-wrote “Buying and Selling a Property in France” published by Tolley Publishing (now Lexis-Nexis).

My media appearances include radio phone-ins and being a panelist for “Ask the Property Expert”.
